THE AWARENESS OF ILLEGALITY
Eugênio Aragão
It is not for the judge to say whether that individual is good or bad, if he is a scoundrel, good people and is being wronged. It is not worth saying this, this moral judgment is not the task of a bureaucrat, because, for this bureaucrat it is very difficult to know, because against factual, if in place of that other, would have acted differently.

WHAT IS LAWFARE?
Osmar Pires Martins Junior
The use of judicial process, through apparently legal procedures, for political purposes, is not new (KIRCHHEIMER, 1961). The novelty is revealed in the complexity of the strategic dimensions of Lawfare, which is not confused with the reciprocally associated concepts of judicialization of politics and politicization of the Judiciary.

BRAZIL`S ENSLAVEMENT ON THE GEOPOLITICAL ALTAR
José Carlos de Assis
Brazil’s political and military elites are condemning us to enslavement by the United States. Brazil is at the center of geopolitical conflict between Americans and Russians. Due to a double-crosser view of the 2015 coup-d´état supporters, the Brazilian elites proved to be vassals of American interests and unable to strategically see the advantages of neutrality between the two military superpowers.

A new approach to lawfare practices in Brazil’s Reconstruction and Transformation Plan
For those who have not read, for the sake of truth, the petista document entitled “Plan of Reconstruction and Transformation of Brazil”, released on Monday, September 21, is not exactly a Plan, but a declaratory mix of intentions and ideas, in a format organized like a magazine, which contains several conjuncture problems considered a priority by the party chiefs and supposedly for their militancy.

Pilha and Herzog confirm Brazilian society is no longer worried about human rights
Journalist Rodrigo Pilha was severely tortured while in the custody of the Federal Government for being framed under the new National Security Law, summarily, accused of waving a hand-painted flag in the Praça dos Três Poderes in Brasilia with the inscription “Genocidal Bolsonaro”. You don’t need to be a legal expert or have any notion of justice to know that this is an absurd arrest in legal terms. It is the right of Pilha or anyone else to take to the streets and complain that friends, acquaintances, and relatives are dead or dying because of the Bolsonaro government’s inaction regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHY JULIAN ASSANGE IS A TARGET OF LAWFARE AND WHAT HIS FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION HAS TO DO WITH IT
Journalist and editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks, Kristinn Hrafnsson, came to Brazil this week to gather support from newly elected President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva regarding the case of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Assange is currently the world’s greatest living journalist, although he is also the one who has suffered the longest period of time in captivity, being tortured day by day by unjust persecution and imprisonment. It has been almost eight years as a refugee inside the Ecuadorian embassy, near Buckingham Palace, plus another three years and six months as a prisoner in His Majesty’s Belmarsh Prison, 22 km away, in London.
Brazilian Mission at the IACHR Attacks Freedom of Expression and Human Rights
The Pelicano Human Rights Network publicly denounces a serious attack on freedom of expression and the fundamental principles governing human rights, perpetrated by the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR/OAS). Recently, the Brazilian Mission submitted a petition to the IACHR based on anonymous claims with ideologically false content, aiming to delegitimize a corruption complaint made by the Pelicano Network regarding judges from the Court of Justice of Sergipe. Worsening this international embarrassment, the Brazilian mission at the IACHR blocked the Pelicano Network on X/Twitter, silencing its legitimate criticisms and preventing the exercise of its right to freedom of expression. CORRUPTION IS NOT FIGHTING BY ENGAGING IN CORRUPTION
Leandro Demori
For every journalist, what is the difference between the justice and revenge systems? Returning to the term omerta and the mafia systems, they live in a revenge system. They can even eventually promote justice, but in the middle of the road, they have committed many injustices and disrespected laws. A justice system cannot do this. Justice does not work by committing illegalities, for we must not fight corruption through corruption.
